I spent 25 years in recruitment and talent acquisition, working both agency side and in-house, leading interviews and influencing hiring decisions at some of Australia's biggest companies. I started Inside Edge because the job market has changed significantly, and most candidates haven't caught up. AI-generated resumes are flooding inboxes. Companies are hiring themselves more than ever. And talented professionals are being overlooked, not because they're not good enough, but because they don't know how the system actually works.
That's the gap I exist to close.
I've also lived this myself. Originally from England and based in Australia since 2003, I've navigated my own career transitions, including roles that looked right on paper but stopped aligning with what I actually valued. Almost every role I held came through the hidden job market. In my entire career, I applied for exactly one advertised position, missed out, stayed in touch, and was offered the role months later without it ever going back to market.
